Shabby Chic Hearts and Patchwork Squares.

What a fantastic day we had yesterday.
It was such a pleasure to meet Kate Roberts and her mum Eileen
who joined us for the March  'Fair Isle. Knitting in colour' workshop.
Kate will be opening a fabulous new little yarn store
'A Good Yarn' in Cleethorpes at the end of April.

Jackie has been attending our workshops since the very beginning.
She attended our very first 'How to knit' workshop in
September last year with very little previous knitting experience.
Now she's our star knitter!

During the workshop everyone learnt how to knit with two and three starnds of colour in a row.
How to increase and decrease and introduce colour at the same time.

Fantastic knitted samples were produced.

Everyone selected different colours for their hearts
It was amazing how much the difference in colour
made to the apppearance of each heart.

'A Good Yarn' go to

Inspirational Baby Knitting

my first ebook!

Well here it is! My first ever ebook! It contains fabulous baby Knitting patterns for both a baby girl and a baby boy. All the designs originally began life as individual designs and patterns and came together as a complete story.
Millicent and Montgomery Mouse were designed for a knitting workshop as an excercise in 'How to knit' in the round. Then they came to life. Millicent danced on my desk and Montgomery sniffed!
The building brick began as an excercise in 'How to knit' tension
squares and developed into a toy to throw around the studio on a very bad 'drop a stitch' sort of day. The hearts were made with love. The simplest pattern designed as a first excercise in 'How to knit'. The baby girl peonie cardigan and baby shoes sat so prettily with the hearts and the baby boy stripe cardigan seemed to co-ordinate so well with Montgomery Mouse and the toy brick.
So the ebook was compiled and here it is.
