Norwegian Stripe Ski Hat. Designer Hand Knitting Pattern.

Two-colour Norwegian knitting requires no new techniques beyond the basic knit and purl stitch. At each stitch, there are two available “active” colours of yarn; one is drawn through to make the stitch, and the other is simply held behind the piece, carried as a loose strand of yarn behind the just-made stitch.

This fabulous new and original hand knitting pattern is written to include 2 methods of knitting. The first method is the traditional Norwegian method (Knit in the round on 4 double pointed knitting needles. Seamless) The second method is worked flat and knit using 2 needles, with a seam.
The knitting pattern is a lot easier than it looks and takes very little yarn. I’ve stated 50grams of each of the 2 colours used in the pattern instructions.
The pattern is written a with chart.
Now we just need the Ski slopes :)

Aran Tweed Cowl Hand Knitting Pattern

A new and very easy hand knitting pattern for a Cowl, Scarf or Neck Warmer.
This is an ideal project for the new knitter. If you can cast on, knit, purl and cast off you can knit this fabulous cowl.
The Cowl takes 200 grams (Just 2 x 100 gram balls) of Aran Tweed yarn.
Perfect for using up some of the Stash!
This fabulous Cowl can be knit in just about any yarn as the concertina effect means that the tension and yarn weight don’t dictate. Although we wouldn’t recommend using a finer yarn than D.K. Certainly much bulkier yarns would work just as well.
The hand knitting pattern is written for two knitting techniques.
It can be knit flat on 2 needles or alternatively knit in the round on a circular needle.
