Baby Socks Knitting Workshop and New Grandaughter

It's been an amazing week and the lack of posting is due to a new addition to the family.
My new Granddaughter and first Grandchild arrived in the early hours of Sunday the 4th March.
Fortunately there were no knitting workshops planned for the weekend !!!
We had a great follow through this weekend with a brilliant 'Baby Sock' knitting workshop
held at Castaway Yarns on Saturday.
The workshop was originally designed to teach sock techniques and how to turn a heel,
it then became a very appropriate knitting workshop ♥
We spent a superb afternoon knitting and Clare provided us all with a fabulous afternoon tea and cake, just after the tense moment of turning the heel had passed.
Several eureka moments later and socks were complete, with the challenge of knitting the second sock to come!!
A BIG thanks to Clare at Castaway Yarns for providing such a lovely venue and scrumptious cake and to all the girls who attended.
It's always such fun in your company and I'm so looking forward to seeing you all again on the 24th March for the 'Finishing Techniques' Knitting Workshop.

On Sunday I spent a very special afternoon with a very special baby
and some fabulous quality time with the family.
A very scrummy Sunday lunch of Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding,
followed by a very special cuddle ♥

Knitting with Colour. Easter Workshop at Castaway Yarns. Haxby

Last Saturdays Easter Knitting workshop was a fabulous, fun filled and creative day.
Knitting in the round and using fair isle stranded knitting techniques everyone produced some beautiful creative and very pretty samples.

All the girls selected a pattern.
We had Hearts and Bunny's, Egg Cosy's and Easter Eggs all on the go.
With fantastic results!!

As always a massive 'Big Thanks' to Clare for providing such a lovely venue
and such fabulous hospitality.
If you are ever in the York area, do make a little detour to Haxby on the outskirts of York and visit Clares beautiful Little Yarn Store, you're guaranteed a great welcome!
Also 'Big Thanks' to Jean for the amazing Chocolate Cake, without which we wouldn't survive the concentration levels and to all you lovely girls for attending.
♥ See you all again very soon ♥
