How to Knit. Bangles and Beads.
How to Knit. Bangles and Beads.
It was a privilege to host
last weekends How to Knit creative workshop at Castaway Yarns in Haxby, near York . Using the Chocolate Truffle knitting pattern
originally designed for the UK Hand Knitting Association ‘Make me Sweet’
project. We made knitted beads. It’s a very easy pattern and perfect as a How
to knit project. Learning how to cast on, knit and cast off, we moved onto
stocking stitch. By the end of the afternoon everyone also learnt how to read a
knitting pattern, ball band, and increase and decrease, using my free diagonal garter
stitch blanket square pattern.
Here’s a free copy of the
Chocolate Truffle knitting pattern for those who couldn’t be with us. To make
the garter stitch beads, omit the embroidery and thread the beads together using an elasticised
thread.
We’ll be knitting lots of
Bangles and Necklaces as gifts this Christmas ♥
