Knitting Yarn And Project Bag
After the February Cable and Texture workshop, when we knitted the Small scented cushions.
Another flash of inspiration!
All that was needed was a Knitting Yarn and Project Bag to hold all our work in progress.
We knitted a few swatches and decided an enlarged basket weave stitch would do the trick.
Most project bags are crocheted. Knitting tends to be a little bit floppy, crochet stitches do tend to give a little more substance and body to the work.
The solution was to design and make a stiffened interior lining for the knitted bag.
We all need a project bag to keep our work in progress, yarns and needles. What could be better than making your own. This design requires skills in knitting and basic sewing.
You will need: 50cm of canvas (We used cross stitch fabric, 14 count, AIDA in Ivory) and 50cm of pretty cotton for the lining.
The template for the interior of the bag is included in the instructions.
The bag takes 300grams of Cotton D.K. Perfect for using up some of the stash.
Quick to knit and fun to make.
We love ours!
