Baby Socks Hand Knitting Pattern and Knitting Workshop

Another fabulous day and sock knitting workshop at Rowan Up Country in Holmfirth.
These workshops are so much fun and such a great opportunity for friends to catch up and be creative.
We knitted, we laughed, we chatted and everyone learnt how to knit in the round and turn a heel.
Ideas were flowing.
Everyone managed to knit one Baby Sock over the course of the afternoon, odd socks all round, with lots of creative knitting and laughter.
The Baby Socks hand knitting pattern is designed to fit a newborn baby to age 6 months, with an adjustable foot length making this a versatile pattern. The pattern is written with a rib cuff, but, we altered the top of the sock by replacing the rib cuff with 2" of plain stocking stitch which creates a really cute roll top.
Knit in the round on 4 x 4mm double pointed knitting needles, every row knit, using baby soft D.K. yarn.
The socks are quick to knit, using short row shaping and stitch decreases to create the heel.

More information about the Autumn term of knitting workshops to be held at Rowan Up Country in Holmfirth from September and how to book your place, can be found on the
