Holmfirth Arts Festival 'Drop in' knitting workshop. Free knitting pattern for bunting.
I was delighted and very flattered to be asked to host a free 'Drop in' knitting workshop at
the Holmfirth Arts Festival 'Part of the Fabric of Holmfirth, Then and Now' textile workshops held last Saturday at the indoor market in Holmfirth.
It was a brilliant day with a great variety of textile workshops covering felting, hand held weaving, french knitting, spinning and of course hand knitting.
The free interactive workshops were accessible to everyone regardless of experience or age and it was pure delight teaching every one how to knit. Those who could already knit contributed to the expanding pile of bunting we've been knitting in the weeks preceding the festival.
This is a very easy hand knitting pattern and perfect for those who have just learnt 'How to knit' or those who like a very simple knitting project
Each flag takes approximately 25grams of DK yarn and take very little time to knit. If you can cast on, knit, increase and cast off, you can knit these fabulous flags and celebrate the summer
(When and if it arrives!)
The Holmfirth Arts Festival continues until Sunday the 24th June and there are lots of fantastic events planned for every day of the week.
